Kristina Mahler

Kristina is a self-described mom from the ‘burbs who just happens to be obsessed with all things construction. She is California-born, Minnesota-raised, and always eager to check out new places…especially if it requires a hard hat. Prior to founding Steel Toe Consulting, Kristina had an eclectic career spanning concert production, jewelry design, high-end residential building, and landing in civil construction. She has a passion for small business strategy and helping owners get out of their own way. Her clients appreciate her honesty, work ethic, and ability to push for great results. She discovered her niche of working with small construction business owners after mentoring several through organizational and personal transitions.

Kristina is personally and professionally driven to have a positive impact on the construction industry. She does this through Steel Toe Consulting but takes it a step further with her nonprofit, Crew Collaborative. She founded Crew in 2020 and is now serving as the Executive Director.

Eliz Greene

Surviving a heart attack at age 35 while seven months pregnant with twins propelled Eliz Greene on a mission to share her story to inspire other busy people to pay attention to their health. Recognizing stress as an essential and often under addressed risk factor, Eliz conducted a research study on job stress. Eliz is an author and writes a Top Health and Wellness Blog. She was named as a Top Online Influencer on Stress and Heart Health. She’s been seen on CNN, PBS, Lifetime, TNT, and many national and local news programs. Organizations such as NASA and CVS have used her strategies to reduce workplace stress. Today, Eliz is happy and healthy living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with her wonderful husband, Clay and their amazing (now adult) daughters.

Kim Becking

As an attorney, serial entrepreneur running two successful businesses, communications strategist and “recovering” political consultant, Kim has conquered the ever-changing tough worlds of business, government, and politics. She’s also conquered breast cancer and other life challenges.
